Hi, and thank you for showing interest on this new hang glider concept.

The key to this concept; the composite leading edge conical telescopic tubes,( for the models, I used fishing poles ! ) allows this leading edge tube, to be basic elements to a structure allowing to fold the glider down to the size of the uprights & speed bar !

The keel; at the nose are the fittings for the telescopic tubes, also consists of telescopic tubes, only, parallel for this purpose, locked in deployed condition by a pushpin or any other locking device, located behind the uprights fitting system.

Note that the battens remain in their sleeves in the sail for folding, and also may be articulated to allow shorter packing.

1 structure, wide range of sails !

The same structure may accept various sails, depending on the pilot's desire, from a single surface floater to a double surface, stiff high performance sail.
Note that the single surface floater does not need a string, the sail acting as of, the leading edge sleeve incorporated in the sail ensuring the flex.

Then again, this concept may be applied on a smaller scale for speed flying wings, or yet again as a traction device sail for land, ice, snow or water crafts.
